Before women's history month comes to a close. I wanted to honor women that have made all the difference in my life.

Whenever I have felt discouraged, I know who to go to for encouragement. 
I draw strength from her. I grew up with a mom that preached, a mom that worked, a mom that knows what it is to sacrifice. It is because of her that I know that anything and all things are possible.

I have never met anyone more dedicated to kids, to equity and to faith. We were roommates in college and had countless conversations that continue to shape how I see the world. When I hear someone say a “ride or die friend” this is who comes to mind.

Charlene Carthen
 I had a feeling we would be friends. Over the past few years there have been numerous glasses of wine, discussions of the divine and laughing until we cried. How lucky am I to call this “wise one” friend.

Grace can talk sense into me when nothing seems to make sense. Through career changes and break ups Grace has never failed to keep me grounded in what really matters. Caring and kindhearted, friend for a lifetime.
